Overview
The G73JH is the latest G-series gaming laptop from Asus. This 17-inch laptop is packed with Intel i7 Quad Core processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and the ATI Radeon HD 5870, which is one of the most powerful graphic card available today. What we really like about this laptop is the price — it’s around $1000 cheaper than the Alienware M17x with the same configuration.

The overall performance you get from the combination of Core i7 CPU, 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870, and 8GB DDR3 RAM is really great, especially considering the laptop’s price. In most of the expert tests, which includes gaming, image processing, multitasking, and audio encoding benchmark tests, the Asus G73JH scores pretty well. You will be impressed with its performance especially when you use it for hardcore gaming or running multimedia entertainment system. The battery life is below 2 hours which is pretty short compare to other categories of latpop, but is expected on a large gaming laptop like the G73JH.

Design
The ASUS G73JH has a “stealth” look. It has a chassis that’s coated in black, rubberized material, and its unique shape with angled surfaces and sharp lines is clearly inspired by the design of the F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter. The build quality of the G73 is pretty strong, and it feels very solid when being held. Also, at 16.6 x 12.8 x 2.3 inches and 8.8 pounds the machine is pretty heavy. The entire laptop is built of thick and good quality plastic.
