ASUS True SATA 6gb/s and USB 3.0 technology vs competitors

Not all high-speed transfer implementations yield the same throughput or experience. ASUS’ added hardware ensures you make the most from today’s transfer technology withouth bios modifications. Because ASUS uses a bridge chip technology, our SATA 6gb/s transfer speeds will not be hindered when you are in SLI or CROSSFIRE. Compared to other motherboards to claim SATA 6gb/s and USB 3.0, you can see from our tests that not all boards are created equal. DESIGN MATTERS! XTREME DESIGN!

CES 2012 Day 1: AcerCloud, Acer Aspire S5, Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra, And The Iconia Tab A700

This is our first day of CES 2012 coverage and this is our video to go along with it. We mostly covered Acer news today since Acer held their CES 2012 keynote where they announced a whole lot. One of the things they really focused on was AcerCloud which is Acer’s aim to compete with iCloud. AcerCloud is a cloud service that includes pictures, music, and documents. The music is the most interesting part since the service streams music from your computer to the smartphone. So you don’t need to upload all your music to the cloud or depend on the service having your song. All your songs are streamed to your phone one at a time and the entire service is completely free. Acer also announced a pair of ultrabooks at CES 2012. First they announced the world’s thinnest ultrabook, the Acer Aspire S5 which is a 15mm thick ultrabook that has USB 3.0 ports and the brand new Thunderbolt port from Intel. Meaning that this ultrabook runs off of Intel’s upcoming Ivy Bridge processors. Acer wants to make ultrabooks mainstream and one way they are planning to do that is by releasing the Aspire Timeline Ultra ultrabooks which are a mix between ultrabooks and notebooks. They are 14-inch and 15-inch machines that allow you to have a hard disk drive and an optical drive if you wanted to. They last 8 hours on a single charge as well which is new. Acer ended their CES 2012 keynote by pulling off a Dell. They took out a tablet and said it’s a quad core 1080p Android tablet that’s going to arrive in
